Posted on

Kevin Durant, professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets, organized a free basketball court building event for kids in Oklahoma City, his hometown.

The event took place on July 22, 2023, with the participation of over 100 kids from the surrounding areas. Durant was on site to help build the basketball court, as well as interact with the kids.

“I want to create a place where kids can come and play basketball,” Durant said. “I know basketball has helped me a lot in life, and I want to give that opportunity to other kids.”

The new basketball court was built to standard size and has all the necessary equipment, including backboards, nets, and lighting. The basketball court is located on the grounds of a local community center, where kids can use it for free.

Durant has committed to building 50 free basketball courts around the world within the next five years. He started this project in 2021, and has built 12 basketball courts so far.

Durant’s basketball court building project is funded by his foundation, The Kevin Durant Foundation. The organization is committed to helping kids in need.

Durant is a famous and successful basketball player. He has won two Olympic gold medals, two NBA championships, and four MVP awards. He is also a very generous person who is always willing to help others.
