Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo made jaws drop as she arrived at the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The 19-year-old “Driver’s License” singer wore a flirty spaghetti-strap mini dress with a tiered skirt and daring open back cutout.

Olivia’s snug-fitting charcoal grey dress provided an unexpectedly alluring contrast to her girl-next-door image. The tiered skirt swished playfully with each step, showing off her toned legs in sheer black tights and glittering patent leather Mary Janes. Her raven locks were parted down the middle in soft waves cascading down her back.

Ever the romantic, Olivia kept her beauty look soft and feminine with pink lipstick and delicate jewelry like a black ribbon choker necklace. She was spotted inside the event happily chatting with her pal Ed Sheeran. Backstage, the “Good 4 U” artist also rubbed shoulders with music legend Dolly Parton, who was inducted into the Rock Hall on Saturday.

During the ceremony, Olivia took the stage to honor inductee Carly Simon with a confident rendition of her chart-topping 1972 song “You’re So Vain.” The iconic singer-songwriter was notably absent from her induction after recently losing two sisters to cancer. Sarah Bareilles read a letter from the grieving star who wrote she was “humbled, shocked, proud, overachieving and especially grateful” for the honor.

Olivia joins music greats like Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie, Eminem, and Duran Duran among the 2022 class of Rock Hall of Fame inductees. Her breezy yet emotional brand of pop songwriting has often drawn comparisons to Carly Simon’s lyrical style. So it was only fitting for the rising Gen Z hitmaker to pay tribute to one of her most significant musical predecessors.

The 2022 ceremony marked the first time the annual event has been held in Los Angeles. It featured an all-star lineup of performers honoring this year’s inductees. Olivia more than held her own among legendary talents several decades her senior. Her stunning fashion statement and heartfelt Carly Simon tribute proved the “Sour” songstress is fast becoming a force in the industry.

At just 19 years old, the High School Musical: The Musical star is already a multi-platinum selling artist and Grammy winner. With her growing acclaim and knack for creating viral moments, Olivia Rodrigo continues cementing her position as pop’s next young icon. Between her bubbly red carpet persona and fearless stage presence, she’s proving that polished talent and idiosyncratic style know no age limits.
