It was Milo’s birthday, a cute golden retriever. He had been looking forward to his birthday for a long time and had prepared very carefully. He had cleaned the house, decorated the living room with balloons and streamers, and prepared a delicious birthday cake with lots of frosting and sprinkles.
Early in the morning, Milo got up early to prepare for his birthday party. He put on his new birthday outfit and sat by the door. But the whole day passed, and no one came to visit Milo.
Milo started to feel sad. He went outside into the yard and looked around. He saw other dogs playing with their owners. They seemed so happy and carefree. Milo wished he could be happy too.
In the evening, Milo returned home and lay down on the couch. He looked at his birthday cake and felt very sad. He didn’t know what to do now.
Suddenly, Milo heard a knock at the door. He quickly ran to open it. There was a little girl standing at the door. She looked at Milo and said,
“Happy birthday, Milo!”
Milo was so happy. He ran to hug the little girl. She gave Milo a present and ate the birthday cake with him.
Milo was so happy. He knew that he was no longer lonely. He had a good friend to share his birthday joy with.
The little girl’s name was Hoa. She was a kind and gentle girl. She loved animals, especially dogs. Hoa often came to visit Milo every day to play with him.
From that day on, Milo was no longer sad. He had a good friend to share his joys and sorrows in life.
